Tommy Carpenter

I'm a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, supervised by S. Keshav, as part of the ISS4E group. I received my BS in Computer Science from Central Connecticut State University in May 2010.

I am a computer scientist working to facilitate the mass adoption of electric transit. My PhD thesis is on using theory from computer science to help reduce range anxiety and ROI uncertainty for potential EV adopters (both fleets and individuals). Tools I commonly use are mathematical optimization, queueing theory, and data analysis.
